Progressive No Line

If you are in need of bifocal or trifocal prescription eyeglasses, there is a solution that may be a better fit. No line bifocals, or progressive no line lenses as they are sometimes called, are a new and improved version of the classic lined bifocal and trifocal glasses of the past. Progressive no line lenses do not have the visible line or lines of basic bifocals and trifocal eyeglasses; therefore they help provide a seamless progression between lenses.

Progressive lenses are multi-focal, which allows the wearer to view all distances with the same sight powers. This is a quality that traditional bifocal eyeglasses or trifocal glasses are unable to accomplish. This new progressive no line lens technology allows the eye to more easily adapt to the lenses and the corrected vision process, much more so than with the old, traditional bifocal and trifocal type prescription eyeglasses.

If you are interested in trying the new progressive no line eyeglasses, it is as simple as making an eye appointment. Once you have had your eye exam, your eye care professional will have to take measurements of your eyes and the eyeglass frames you have chosen to house your lenses so that they can place the corridor of the lenses in the exact position. This is especially important for your eyes to be able to naturally access the different layers of powers within the special lens. By doing so, the wearer will be able to comfortably view all distances without the "image jump" sensation that conventional bifocals and trifocals cause.

Progressive no line eyeglass lenses are the most popular type of corrective lenses prescribed for correcting many types of vision disorders. In the past though, these lenses were big and bulky and had to be placed in oversized frames. Luckily, today there are several styles of progressive no line lenses that can now be sized to fit into almost any type of eyeglass frames and are available in many different varieties of materials such as plastic, glass and polycarbonate lenses.

Progressive no line eyeglasses can be purchased through most eye care professionals and discount eyeglasses stores. Be sure to check your eyeglasses when you pick them up to make sure they fit correctly and you are able to see clearly through the lenses. While it is true that your eyes will need time to adjust to the new lenses, you should still be able to see objects clearly. You may also want to try reading something as well. You should be able to see the writing clearly also. If you have problems focusing with your new eyeglasses on, the eye technician may need to have the lenses reground in order to work correctly.

Once you are able to see through your progressive no line lenses, you will be notice that you are able to see a brand new world; a world with no blur, no lines, no "jumps".  It may take some getting used to, but after a few days, your vision should be completely clear with little or no interference from the lenses. Before you know it, all you will be seeing is a clear view at every angle of every object. .
